Customer: Every time i try and take pictures or video (touching the capture button) i get a message that tells me to "Please turn camera off then on again" but when i set my camera to shoot without the lense and take the lense off, my camera will take pictures....? I am now starting to believe the lense is the issue and not the body!

The lens may be faulty, or it may just not be making a good connection with the camera body.

Try removing the lens from the camera, then clean the contact area on the camera body and also on the lens.

Reattach the lens firmly and try again.

If that doesn't work, try with a different lens and let me know the results...

I Don't have another lens to try this with but i would of done that if I had one.... What would be wrong with my Lumix 12-35mm lens that causes this issue?

In most cases this problem is due to a bad connection.

However in some cases the internal circuitry of the lens can become defective, usually after it has been dropped or suffered a shock of some sort, but it can also occur without being dropped.

A local camera shop should be able to test a different lens on the camera body for you if you don't have another lens available.
