Sorry I'm looking for camera help. Its a PhotoShot SD1100

Customer Question

sorry I'm looking for camera help.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Its a PhotoShot SD1100 IS. I got it for my 50th birthday so its almost 8 years old. I am trying to figure out how to download the camera driver so that I can download photos to my laptop.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC and its windows 10
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I don't think I have ever used this since I got this computer. I cant find either camera or DS driver in driver list.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I did try using the software disc that came with the camera but it didn't seem to do anything. Thanks!

Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you with your question today. I am John, I will do my very best to help you solve this problem.

When you connect your camera to the computer using its USB cable, it should be recognized by the computer. Go to "My PC" and see if the camera is listed there as a drive.

Otherwise I recommend a USB SD reader like this one ===> Click HERE <===== You just need to insert the SD memory card from your camera to this USB reader, and plug the USB reader to your computer's USB port. That's it!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you, ***** ***** a blessed day!

John
