My son has a canon ixus and has recorded 2 movies on it but

Hi , my son has a canon ixus and has recorded 2 movies on it but they have not audio. The ones before are fine and the test one i have just done is fine. Any ideas why. Could it be the length of the movie. One of them is 19 minutes
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: ixus 175 and new, it was a christmas present. I bought it in November 2016
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Nothing, the put the camera on the book case and then recorded what they were doing. It is strange as the volume was up and there is no apparant reason why it has happened I want to assume it is user error but need to understand the error so it does not happen again.
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?

I have tried playing them back on both. Whilst waiting for your response - very quick thank you - I have watched the video and both of the about a minute in the audio comes back in . On one the camera was being held on the other it was standing on the book case. They audio is silent to start and then goes crackly almost as if there is a large bit of fluff on the speaker and then in the audio is fine. Very peculiar.

I think there is a fault with the camera as I have just done a test record and the audio has really bad interference on it. I think the best thing is to contact Canon
