I have a coolpiixs3100 which I cannot recharge the battery I have purchased two batteries which i thought was the problem but it was not I havwe checked the charger lead which seems to be ok but still unable to charge the camera I need your help John Bishop
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Coolpix s3100 about four years old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have not uised the camera a lot but found that it has been hap[pening for about the last xix months I have purchased two new batteries
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that I have a number of photos I wish to print

When the AC Adapter and USB Cable are connected to the camera to charge the rechargeable battery with the battery at or very near full exhaustion, the battery sometimes cannot be charged.

You could try using an external charger to charge the battery.

Or you could try updating the firmware on the camera - an official firmware update has been released a while ago that solves this issue.
