Customer Question

I recently purchased an EOS 5D - Mark IV. I shoot RAW + JPEG. The Mark IV Raw format is not readable by my Lightroom software. I received your software with my camera. However, I am unable to install it on my computer, as I have some issues with my Desktop's CDRom. My question is, can I download the software from Canon website and install it that way.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It is new, purchased just 3 weeks ago. It is 5D- MarkIV.
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have not tried anything yet. I was looking at how can I bypass the need to use my CDRom.
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just one more thing. How can I record my RAW and JPEG versions of images on the CF card and SD card separately. i.e. all JPEGS on SD card and all RAWs on CF card?

Or, the latest Lightroom update includes support for Mark IV RAW if you prefer to stick with it then you can update it.

You can save RAW to CF and JPEG to SD, however the SD memory is slower, so for best performance you may want to stick with the CF slot.
