I have a Canon...

I have a Canon EOS Rebel camera (2004); I got a new printer over a year ago that did not have the slot for the flash disk to down load my photos to my computer. I have been trying for over a year to try & down load my photos using the cord to the USB port & cannot get it to operate. I got a new computer tower almost two years ago & all the stuff on the installation disk is on my computer. How can I download my photos from my camera to my computer?

Technician's Assistant: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?

I got the camera in 2003 or 04; Model is 300D digital

Technician's Assistant: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Re installing the disk that came with the camera; going to my control panel & seeing if the trouble shooting or help gives me instruction. They refer me to the internet, but I always got dead ended, so I thought I would try you.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?

Can I get my software updated from the internet today so I can download the 8 GB disk that is full? When I got my new computer, I got switched over to Picasa 3 from the 2004 version of Photo Shop that I use to use. Do I need to buy a new Photo Shop to be compatible with my Canon Rebel 300D?
