I have a AF-S Nikkor 18-105 mm Camer was dropped and broke

Hi I have a AF-S Nikkor 18-105 mm
Camer was dropped and broke the tabs on the bayonet.
replaced the bayonet.
Had a little trouble with the wire that attaches to the bayonet.
Camera shutter will not activate.
Other lenses do work on the body.
What did I miss when putting this back together?

Look down inside the lens and see if the diaphram works ok. It should open and close using the linkage on the bayonet mount. Let me know if this works.
