I have a Canon PowerShot SX280 HS. When I turn the camera on

Customer Question

I have a Canon PowerShot SX280 HS. When I turn the camera on the shutter does not open all the way so I have my pictures being cut off by part of the shutter.
JA: Soon. I'm trying to find the right camera technician for you right now. As soon as they are ready, I will let you know.
Customer: Thank you
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Canon PowerShot SX280HS Wi-Fi. Camera is about four years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Nothing that I know of. It just started doing it. I have tried blowing canned air all around the shutter. It had no effect.
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not that I know of

The shutter will require a repair.
Do you plan on taking the camera apart and repairing it yourself, or are you looking for a repairer in your area?
