I'm trying to do this and this is my experience: I have MAC

Hi, I'm trying to do this and this is my experience:
I have MAC OSX El Capital 10.11.15 and the software recommended for download is dppm3.15.0-updater
I copied dppm3.15.0-updater to my desktop.
Right clicked 'show package contents'
Navigated to Contents/Resources... however I do not see SDI.bundle??
Has the updater changed, and if so, what is the current solution?

To give some background:
I own a Canon Powershot S95 camera and after moving home unfortunately lost the CD that came with it. I'm trying to download the camera driver utility onto my Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11.15 to be able to upload photos from camera onto my hard drive.I've tried inserting the camera SD card into the Mac Air card slot but the laptop doesn't recognise it. No response at all.Now I'm trying to download the canon driver software that would allow me to download photos from camera to the laptop via usb cable. Thanks!

Welcome to, my name is Dustin.
I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are having, I will do my best to help you resolve it.

Hi, do you have a suggested resolution for my problem?

The updater will only work if you have one of these programs installed on your mac currently

Digital Photo Professional- EOS Viewer Utility- File Viewer Utility- RAW Image Task

Also, this may not be an issue with missing a program. If your mac cannot read the sd card, t hen the sd card probably is not formatted in a mac friendly format.

So let me ask you this.. When you insert the SD card and then open the disk utility app, does disk utility show the sd card on the left listed with your other hard drives?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Hi, when I insert the SD card I would expect to see it as a drive in Finder. However my computer does not recognise the SD card.
I'm not clear about the disk utility app that you are referring to.

To g et to the disk utility app, open spotlight or click the magnifying glass, then type in disk utility

then double click the disk utility application. Now on the left side of disk utility with the SD card inserted, what drives do we see listed?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Hi Dustin,Thank you I located the disk utility app. Now with it open I have inserted the SD card. Nothing changes on the disk utility screen. On the left side I see the following:
Internal ->APPLE SSDSM0128G Media -> Macintosh HDDisk Images -> Apple UDIF read-only compressed (bzip2) Media -> Flash PlayerThat's all.

It sounds like either the SD card was formatted for windows and not a mac compatible format.

Or, the sd card itself has failed. Do you have a windows PC you have access to by chance? If not, you may want to consider a new sd card, format it in your mac first.

Then, use it in the camera. And then the mac would be able to read it.

You can get a 32gb SD card fore 10$ here, to test that theory..

Hi Dustin,I never before tried to download photos from the SD card and you are probably right that the SD card is not formatted for the Mac. Luckily I've been able to solve my problem by locating the Canon Utility drive that was saved onto an external hard drive from backups of my old laptop.I'm now able to transfer the photos from camera onto hard drive. Thanks for your efforts.
