Customer Question

Hello, I've got a Coolpix p900 and almost every pic I take is blurry
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: I just purchased it within the month
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I had it on Automatic. I tried going to manual which works for close ups but I have other problems with that. I also just took pics of a bird on a tree top. I zoom to max on both adjustments and then used the diopter
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I also have an issue with going to manual. It the view seems to go black when I shoot

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

If you zoomed to maximum zoom factor, and did not use a tripod, then you have a possible cause for blurring: not using a fast enough 'speed'. If the speed is too slow, blurring will take place owing to camera shake from hand-holding.

(I am aware this is only an initial guess. Tell me more about the conditions and settings, and I'll be able to judge better as to what is wrong.)

Was the camera originally working OK? as far as focus in pictures taken is concerned?
