- Does the camera device icon show up on the Desktop screen and/or in Finder?

Can you please click on the Apple logo / menu at the top, then click on About this Mac..., then tell me your OS X version, such as 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, etc.?

- Do you see if there is a memory card slot on your iMac computer?

- If you open the Image Capture application on your computer, does it detect the camera (or memory card)?
