Purchased a brand new Nikon ED 80-200 2.8 lens in August.

Customer Question

Purchased a brand new Nikon ED 80-200 2.8 lens in August. Today it suddenly showed EE error and won't fire. Subbed out another lens on same camera, no problem. Put this lens on our other Nikon camera and same problem arises with EE error message. Changed cards. Changed batteries. Any suggestions?

Hi Kurt,

Since the same error has occurred on different cameras then it is likely that the lens needs to be serviced due to a pin issue.

You can schedule a repair through their website here: https://repair.nikonusa.com/ProductEntry
