My Canon 70D just froze, an image is frozen in the camera.

Customer Question

My Canon 70D just froze, an image is frozen in the camera. What would you recommend that I do? Should I take out the memory card? Have I lost everything on the memory card? My other Canon 70D is in the shop for the same problem?
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It is less than a year, I believe, Canon 70D.
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: We are filming a cooking video, and we just noticed that the image had frozen. We have left it alone for about 20 min. now, hoping it would unfreeze, but it is still frozen.
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Hello
JA: Hello. What seems to be the problem?
Customer: I have not received an answer to my first question.

Hi there and welcome

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and try to turn it on.

Tell me please if it now starts and functions correctly

Thank you
