I just purchased an Olympus FE320 Digital camera on Amazon.

Customer Question

sir. I just purchased an Olympus FE320 Digital camera on Amazon. I can't get the pictures to come out clear. They are all blurry
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: FE 320 8.0 Megapixels; AF 3x Optical Zoom FE 320/X-835/C-540
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I still have the booklet. It said something about taking pictures (looks like a hand symbol on the dial) but it didn't work
JA: The camera expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: Yes. When I press the button, the lens makes a whirring noise and sometimes will not extend

First, check and make sure that the Macro function is not turned on (The little Flower icon would be displayed on the screen). If this is not causing the problem then the camera arrived with this problem with the focus already there.

While this camera is a vintage unit (8 to 10 years old) regardless if it is "new old stock", refurbished, or used, the seller should at least offer a "no DOA" return policy. Return it through Amazon immediately.

Please keep in mind that my diagnosis & solutions provided are directly dependent on the accuracy of your description of the problem. As with any "do it yourself" fixes, success is a "team effort", since I can't see or touch the camera, and relies on the customer's manual dexterity and ability to follow the instructions well. If the "do it yourself" approach doesn't work out for you and you need conventional repair, please let me know.
