I have a Canon PowerShot SX30 IS.
I was messing around with the camera and now when I open out the screen it's blank so I am forced to take photos/videos through the viewfinder only.I don't know how to fix this.

Hi Ann, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, there four (4) display modes; Screen, Screen with histogram and framing grid, Viewfinder, and Viewfinder with histogram and framing grid.

These can be set in Custom Display. Use the arrow keys or turn the dial to choose preferred mode (screen and others), then press the FUNC SET button. Ensure that a √ appears on the selected/preferred setting(s).
