Customer Question

Good Morning from Texas. I was shooting with my Olympus OMD E M1 and suddenly there was a green cast to the images and in the viewfinder...both on the screen and in the eyepiece screen and in the image file that was exported to the card. This green cast is present in both RAW and jpg. Suggestions? Many thanks.
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: This just started one week ago.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have worked through all the menus in the camera to try to solve the problem. Also I have asked my friend, Dan Burkholder, who is an expert in the Olympus. He can't figure it out.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Olympus OMD E M1. It think I bought it about two or three years ago.
JA: The camera expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: I can send a screen shot of the problem if you'd like.

Hi there and welcome

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and try to turn it on.

Tell me please if it now functions correctly on new photos please

Thank you
