Hello, I have a Canon 70D, I can't turn it on and I have the message "Update file cannot be found. Please check the memory card and reload the battery and try again".
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?

Were you trying to update the firmware on your camera when this occurred?

To resolve the problem, try starting the camera up without a memory card first, then:

  • Checked current firmware version
  • Insert a SD card and low format it using the camera
  • Copy updated firmware to the SD card root
  • Eject the SD card
  • Put the SD card into the camera
  • Turned it back ON
  • Go to Menu > Last tool icon > Firmware Ver > Update : OK
