I have a SONY handycam HDR-PJ670. When I upload my SD card

Customer Question

I have a SONY handycam HDR-PJ670. When I upload my SD card to my computer, some files upload as MTS (which is the format I need) and some are MP4 (which are useless to me). Why does this happen? And what can I do to ensure that they are always in the MTS format (this is for my work).

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Do you use the same software for uploading, and the same settings?

Do the MP4 files have the same name as the MTS files, or do they have differing names (not considering the different file extension part of the file names, of course) ?
