Hi there,

My name is***** will try my best to help you with your question.

r09 is indicating that you can take another 9 shots before the camera's buffer becomes full.

You see it whenever you hold the shutter button 1/2 way down or all the way down.

Since the flash won't go off, try using automatic mode and clear out some photos from the memory.

If the flash still won't go off, then the flash assembly may have a fault and will require a repair.

Kindly rate my service 5 stars at the top of your question page if my answer helped so I am rewarded for my time; tips appreciated :)
