I am trying to check my cameras, but when I click the camera icon on my DDNS in Ipolis it tells me to register my IP Address, but I've hit the register button and my monitor shows that I am connected.

I understand that you are using a mobile app called iPolis, which is used to monitor or access networked cameras or IP cameras.
When you hit the register button, what is the result?

when I hit the register button on the computer it says that I have to register my IP address. On my phone it says unable to connect to the equipment

correction when I hit register it says its registered, but when I hit the camera icon it says to register the IP

Is the register button in the iPolis app, or in some other window or program?

Is your phone connected to internet, at least? if so, then what is the full and exact error message, please, and is the camera icon that when hit says to register the IP, in the iPolis app?

OK. You register for a DDNS (never mind what that is) address on the internet for your camera system and DVR (if your camera system has one.)

You register on the site, yes.

To 'register' means you have to sign up to have a DDNS IP address assigned to your camera system.

You sign up on that site.

So I think what you do is, you click on Sign Up.

Does that make sense, given what you see and what is happening on the web site?

I've already signed up on the website with a user name and everything. There is not place for me to input the IP address for the register part.
It is a DVR for the system.

Have you already gotten through this process at the website:

On the MY DDNS page, select ProductRegistration.

- In the Product ID field pick a unique and easyto remember ID that identifies your DVR setup (i.e. lastname,home1, work1, etc). This will be your host address. ( for instance, for a 'home1' ID.)

- Classification is Urban Security.

- Model number is (your DVR's model #)

- Complete Setup

I cannot use that website, since I do not have you login information. (Since this is a public page, I must caution you to not post it here.)

You have to do some configuration on your DVR at this point, to get the iPolis app to work on your mobile phone. Would you like to do that?

Now you will have to configure your home router, to allow access to the DVR on your router's local network, to e.g. your mobile's iPolis app from 'outside'.

More or less like this:

Log into your home router.

Under Application and Gaming (in Linksys/Cisco routers) select Single Port Forwarding.

Application: HTTP

External Port: 80

Internal Port: 80

Protocal: TCP

IP Address: The static IP of the DVR you set up previously.

Enable: Yes(Check)

Click Apply/Save

At this point I have to caution you: you shouldn't have chosen 'DHCP' as shown in one of the posted images you put up. Instead, choose 'Static IP' and set it to

and the other values, copied off first before you switch 'DHCP' to 'Static IP'.
