I have a Powershot A720is camera. Have had it for years, always worked great. Now I am unable to turn on the Date Stamp function. Each time I turn on the camera it prompts me to set the date and time. I do but it won't hold the date/time if I turn off the camera. When I go to Menu, I am not able to access the Date Stamp function (shows it being "off").I've replaced the batteries, followed all the instructions in the manual and even gone to your "Frequent Q&A" web site and followed instructions there. Wonder if the internal battery that enables this function is dead? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Hello and Welcome. My name is ***** ***** I'll assist you today. I'm sorry you're having trouble with it.

There is backup battery in this camera that holds the date and time, it seems that battery needs replacement. Date backup battery is located next to power batteries compartment, open the battery cover and find it as shown in attached pictures that I'm attaching in few minutes...
