Customer Question

My old Mac died. I have a new one with OS 10.11.5. My EasyShare software won't run. I click the icon, and EasyShare seems to open for just a second and then collapses. I have many photos that I want to recover. How do I do that?
Thanks,
Grant Carson

Are you using Safari?

Do you have any popup blockers installed in Safari?

Have you checked your Downloads folder?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm using Firefox, although I have Safari as well. I had a popup blocker for Firefox, but I removed it and got the same result. I have Firefox configured to download to the desktop. I also checked the downloads folder. I'm beginning to think Easyshare is just incompatible with OS 10.11. I don't need for the software to work, but I would like to have the photos that were stored using Easyshare. No, I didn't back up the photos to the cloud.

Easyshare is very old software and is no longer updated or supported so may not run well on newer versions of OS X.

However the pictures that you stored with EasyShare should still be on your old computer somewhere - installing Easyshare will not help you find them if you cannot access the photos on your old computer.
