When I turn on the camera it turns on momentarily Kodak logo

Customer Question

When I turn on the camera it turns on momentarily for the Kodak logo to come on screen, then everything goes black and whatever I have it set at (auto, scene or whatever) begins bllnking red for a few minutes then everything shuts off. I've installed new memory card and new batteries but doesn't change it.

Does the lens appear to extend correctly?

Have you tried powering the camera on with the memory card not installed?

Finally, what are the sizes (capacity in mg or gb) and types (SD or SDHC) of memory cards that you art trying to use?
