I asked why my computer with windows 7 would not recognize my Olympus camera==Where is my answer???
Expert:  Rick replied 1 year ago.

I'm sorry, The problem has been by several experts. Windows 7 has built-in drivers for most drivers for most cameras and other peripherals. I have the same operating system on all my computers without a problem. However, the camera is a newer model. Have you updated your computer lately?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have used this computer and camera and never had a problem--Several times in fact--there should be no reason to have a problem now !!!

If you have been plugging it directly into the computer, it's most likely a broken port. They break all the time This doesn't mean you can't use the camera, it just means you will need to use an external, USB card reader. They're in-expensive and work just fine. . The other option is to send the camera into the Olympus service center. This can take awhile and will be expensive.
