If you have not already done so, so to the menu and select RESET, Not RESET NO. and allow the process to complete. Normally, this will initialize the lens, shutter and mode functions. Please let me know the result.

You can access the reset function in the menu using the instructions below.

In shooting mode P (Program).

Arrow Left once
Arrow to Setup (The wrench icon)
Arrow right once
Arrow down to RESET (Not NO. RESET)
Allow the reset process to complete
Press the Shutter Button halfway to leave the menu
