Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today. The reason for the problem is, your camera will not recognize anything over a 2GB card. What is the part number you are referring to?

ok, so how do I get this san disk out of my camera now. I bought this one at Walgreens, because here in s'western Ok all we have is KMart, WalMart and Walgreens, and the salesperson was not very knowledgable at all. I have never bought anything other than 1 or 2 gb before, so have I ruined the camera now? I was told you office is closed after 5:00 pm, and lots of days I don/t have the chance to get to talk to anyone, but I could make an appointment to be sure to be at home by 4:00 on Wednesday and you could call me. I'd be glad to give you my phone #.

If I can get to where I can use the camera with a 1 or 2 gb, I wil take it to a Kiosk in town where I have been going to get them developed. That way I can delete the ones of bad quality I do not want

Just so you are not confused, we are not affiliated with Panasonic. We are an independent tech support service. The memory card slot is located under a hatch on the right side of the camera as you look at it from the rear. Open the hatch and push in on the card and it should pop out. You have not damage the camera in any way. All you need to do is use a 2GB card in place of the one you have and you should be okay.
