My LUMIX. Panasonic dmc zs25 after I charged the battery will not accept cards even the one that I have already used that was in the camera. I tried other cards as the message said Try another card. Or install card again. I put the cards in other cameras and they work. What's wrong.

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.
Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and turn it on.
Tell me please if it now accepts the cards

I want you to do a reset of the camera please

To do this, please do the following (leave the card in)

  • First, turn on your Panasonic Lumix HX-A100
  • Set the camera in “record” mode
  • Press [Menu/Set] button
  • Press [Down] button (flower mark) to select the “SETUP” menu, that is the one with a “spanner” icon.
  • Now press the [Right] button (flash mark)
  • Press few times [Down] button (flower mark) until you see “RESET” option there
  • When you select the RESET, press [Right] button (flash mark) and then select “YES”
  • Press [Menu/ Set] button

Then tell me if it recognizes the card please

No it won't do anything with the card in. Can't go past the message. Insert card again.

It's not a lx 100!! It's a dmc zs25. Some of these icons or instructions are not on this camera.

ok, but if it wont even get past the message it cannot be reset

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted. There is no other cause for this I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camera to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
