JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: Just now. I put in a cleaning cassette and it went in but then the eject tape message and beeping came on. It only comes up part of the way and won't go back down or fully up and open to take the tape out.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Canon ZR 200
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Battery out, AC cord unplugged. turning it on and off

Leave the camera Off, with batteries removed, for at least overnight.

Then put batteries in, hold down the Eject button, and power it On, still holding down the Eject button for at least 30 seconds.

How old is your Canon ZR200 camera?

There is no eject button to hold down. It just slides. And nothing has changed. I purchased this off ebay so not sure of its's age.

Is the battery a rechargeable, or non-rechargeable?

If it is rechargeable, try removing it from the camera, and charging it on the charger for another 6 hours continuously. If the charging is done with it in the camera, leave it in the camera and charge for 6 hours without turning the camera On in that interval.
