Customer Question

I have a sony alpha 6000. How do I get rid of the colored histograms (graphs) on the right side of my screen. If I hit the playback button they go away but if I hit it again they come back. Also, is there a way to reset the settings to the way they came from the factory.

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

An A6000 can have various displays, some with histogram and some without, that you cycle through by pressing the DISPLAY button repeatedly.

You can set up what display types you cycle through by hitting the MENU button, then scroll down to highlight

DISP Button

then hit ENTER, then you choose between 'Monitor' and 'Finder' (which is short for 'Viewfinder') - choose Monitor, hit ENTER, then you'll see a list of choices which can have checkmarks next to them. The ones with checkmarks are the ones you will cycle through by hitting the DISP button, so if you un-check the displays with histograms, here, by un-checking the ones with histograms.
