Customer Question

Re F100
I bought the camera used, but the view through the viewfinder is limited only to a circle around the center of the frame and does not include the whole frame. Is this because of the focusing screen or is there some gizmo I can adjust to expand the view to the entire frame?

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. You might want, if you are uncertain as to settings (and given that the camera is used), to reset the camera back to factory settings conditions. That would reset any selection as to focusing selection, for instance (which is what the circle could very well be for), as well as other peculiar preferences of the former owner. Such a settings reset is done by (usually) going to the Setup or Settings menu, scrolling to the bottom (the last choice) which should be called 'Reset' or 'Reset all', and activating that option.
