nikon df....when i use flash the exposure comes out overexposed many times even though the exposure setting is on "0"...what am I doing wrong??

If the subject is too close to the camera, flash at all will overexpose, without anything being wrong with the camera.Also, do you use the built-in flash? you may be overexposure-forcing, if your Exposure Compensation setting is dialed up.And, don't use Auto-ISO with flash, it tends to have problems, which could include overexposure.
