I have a Nikon D7000. I am experiencing a continuous error

Customer Question

I have a Nikon D7000. I am experiencing a continuous error message associated with the SD port. The manual list several possible causes but none seem to satisfy or correct the error

Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with almost 30 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today. What exactly is the error message and why do you think it is associated with the SD card reader?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Because the SD cards works in the D7200. But that was a deduction base on the literature in the D7000 manual.

I see. So, the problem is that the camera won't record to the card. That narrows down the problem to just a bad card reader. These can be repaired, but you might want to reconsider. The Nikon D7000 is notorious for the shutter flying apart and destroying the filter in front of the image sensor. At any rate, the repair will run at least $250. You may be better off applying the repair costs to a newer camera or at least upgrading to the D7100. They don't seem to have the same shutter problem.
