Customer Question

I have a i832 Polaroid digital camera that won't stay on and the telescopic lens is out. if I could get the camera to stay on and the telescopic to close, I'd try to reset the camera to factory defaults to see if that fixes it.

Hi Adrian,This will happen if the camera detects an obstruction with the lens mechanism - usually it occurs when some grit or sand gets into the mechanism, and the camera will power off and go into Protect mode. It can also happen if the lens mechanism has been damaged. You can try tapping the lens whilst it is extended to see if that helps dislodge any particles. If that does not work, then the camera will need to be disassembled and the lens mechanism can then be thoroughly cleaned or repaired.
