Customer Question

I have a Panasonic Lumix digital camera that's probably 2-3 years old. It accidentally got soaked in water. Is it useless to try to fix it or could it be fixed at a reasonable price do you think? Many thank, Judith Weaver

The short answer is no, this would not be worth fixing. You can try a few things yourself though.Disconnect any power or usb cords, and remove the batteries from the camera.Do not turn it on.Place the camera in a sealed airtight container (or ziptop bag), submerged in dry, raw/uncooked white rice. Leave it there at least 48 hours. This can absorb some of the internal moisture and allow the camera to function again. If it still does not, then repairs would not be feasible. You could buy a brand new camera for less than repairs. Recommended example: Best regards, ***** ***** for the news,Nathan
