i have a sony professional digital camera hxr-mc2500. when i upload videos onto my laptop and then download them onto a dvd disk, it says there is not enough space on the dvd. it is 120 minutes and 4.7gb. the camera is set on the recording setting of 720/60p HQ

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. I suspect that there is no puzzle here whatever: common (1-sided) DVD discs have a maximum capacity of 4.7 GB. If your videos are just slightly above the actual (formatted, as opposed to theoretical) capacity of the DVD disc, then they will be refused by a 'not enough space' message. Try shortening your video slightly, to 4.6 GB in size. That ought to prove writable to the DVD disc.
