I was using Live View on my Nikon D610. Not only was the shuter lag incredibly long now the camera doesn't work at all. I get the display r14. But can't get menu. I'm taking a macro photo workshop tomorrow. Help!

Make sure you have AF turned on on both the lens and the body.This is an error aboit not.getting focus. You camera can be set to beep when it acquires focus via a menu setting, I don't think it comes set this way from the factory. I believe it will then only beep in S, or single servo focus mode. If your camera is hunting to achieve focus it is not because it's trying to find the correct aperture, but because it can't find enough contrast to lock on or a focus setting is incorrectly adjusted.
