I have a Kodak PlayTouch camera. The sound is not recording. I just started using the camera and the sound worked perfectly then stopped. Also the volume control is not working either for record nor playback.

The PlayTouch camera is perhaps 3 years old. It has never been used. It was given to me by a non-tech savvy relative last year. When I pulled it out and first tested it three days ago, I did record audio and it played back. But every recording thereafter would not record audio. The audio controls - record and playback - are not working either.

Thank you for that info. I figured that would be the situation. You can try one thing. Please remove the batteries. and wait 40 minutes. then re install them.This will cause a reset in the system. its very possible the memory glitched and this will solve that. But if it doesn't then there is a component failure internally that needs service. if that turns out to be the case, the bet way to have that repaired is to take it to Best Buy. They will send it out to their techs for this repair. they are very reliable but it takes about two weeks for them to have it back to you.Also the cost is very reasonable as well;-) In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.Please rate my service thus far.Also it is the only way I am credited for my time and expertise with you.Once you rate, I will be notified and will add your question to my priority list so you can reach me anytime until this problem is solved.Then you can reach me by simply replying to this message anytime.Thank you and have a great day!
