I want to use the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens on a Sony A7SII or and A7RII. If I use an adapter for this like the ones from Novoflex will all the automatic features of the camera still interact with the lens, like autofocus, etc?

Hi Mark,

Yes, you can get an adapter that allows the automatic features of the camera to still interact with these lenses.

Hi Pete. Here is the reply from novo flex. Just so you know.Hello,
sorry, but this is not possible because of several technical conditions. Every company works with different software. So there must be a little computer in the adapter integratad which "translates" all signals in both directions. But you don´t get any informations from Sony or Olympus and in some cases there are patents which cannot be copyed. And, because of the flange focal length, souch an adapter must have a thickness of only 1,5mm!
And, one more problem, this olympus lens is made for a 4/3 sensor. The Sony sensor is much bigger, so you woun´t get a full picture on the sony sensor.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Kind regards
Andreas Marx

I would like to use the following lenses on the Sony A7 series cameras.Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens,I am looking for a solution that allow the full features of the lenses to work on the Sony just like they are meant to do on the Olympus bodies like the E-M1.
Do you have a solution that works?Mark Meeker(###) ###-####
