Customer Question

I just purchased a Canon powershot sx610HS wifi. It will not connect to my computer. I have Windows 8 and am using explorer. I'm ready to pull my hair out! This is my first experience with wifi camera and I am tech challenged. What am I doing wrong? I'm confused by the directions! Why is it assumed that everyone else understands what WPS and PBC means? (sorry venting).

Hello, my name is Rusty. WPS is encryption, it's your password ***** connect to your router. Let me simplify...

Be sure your computer and camera are connected to your wifi router. They both must be connected to the same router. That is your network.

Now that everything is connected to the same network, click start, all programs, canon utilities, camera window, and then wifi connection setup. That is where you will configure your computer to be visible to your camera on the network, and it should connect.
