Customer Question

I have an Ikon D50. Problem just started. Will auto focus for 2-3 pictures and then no more. the focus ring goes in and out but does not stop when focused. Found if I remove lens and reconnect, it focuses for 2-3 more shots. Tried another lens with same results.

Hi Wayne,

The problem may be with the lens contacts on the camera body where it makes an electrical connection. Try cleaning the contacts using a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. It's possible an offending contact is "dirty", which would prevent it from establishing good electrical continuity with the camera circuits responsible for activating the AF-S motor in the lens.

Let me know if that works?
