Bought printer MX 490 from Best Buy 2 months ago. I love it BUT it does not want o print it says a paper is jammed but I followed all your instructions to clear it.
I turn on the printer and it moans and groans and sent 2 pieces of paper thru. Now I tried to do a maintence and the machine turns on the orange stop button and will not do anything. This does the same when I ask it to print.

The moaning/groaning sounds quite unusual. And, defective.

I would interpret it as meaning, you have a sensor inside the printer that is registering a piece of paper (that isn't really there.) So the printer 'groans', runs its rollers very fast to try to clear the paper out by feeding it out... and being no paper, there's no result.

It's only 2 months old. Check the whole paper path through the printer for any paper or dirt/debris/dust/etc.... and then if it isn't better, call Canon Canada, or contact them through their website, and put in a failed-within-warranty claim on the printer, for free-of-charge repair-servicing to fix it.
