I have a new memory...
I have a new memory card for the Panasonic camcorder AG HMC 40 P after loading the card the camera says check card! Why is the camera not recording? Thank you

it has a lock and unlock switch on it. But the switch is on unlock!

Hi thanks, ***** ***** out a bad mem stick as some of them are bad right out of the gate, try a different one and let me know if you still get that same error?

Also, before you do that please remove all power from your camera, batteries and power cord. Then press the power button and hold it for 20 full seconds ON. Then wait 5 full minutes and replace the batteries. Then try a mem card again, Let me know if that helped or not?

After further investigation and examination I thought it was a problem with the formatting of a memory card but I will have to probably have to get this unit serviced so I have another card that works perfectly in it. But thank you for your help!
