have a lumix dmc-fz200 with panasonic dmw-lt55 and kiwi -la55fz200 ext for the telephoto converter. Can't get it to zoom beyond 17x without getting an error signal. what to do?

Some lenses cannot be zoomed beyond a certain factor, with certain cameras. It's a matter of sheer limits on compatibility.

Also, if you are using a converter or adapter ring, this limit on compatibility may be surprisingly large.
