Customer Question

My Pentax K30 has developed a problem probably with the sensor. Pictures are extremely dark, and even with the on board flash or the AF360 attached pictures are so dark as to be unrecognizable - even with the highest ISO. Using a backup Canon and the same settings the pictures are normal and bright. I've tried everything - resetting, AV priority, SCN, Auto, and Manual all with the same result.
Any ideas?

Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with over 20years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.

The problem is in the aperture control mechanism on this model. This has a high failure rate. The only cure is to replace the faulty mechanism in the camera. I'd recommend sending it directly to a Pentax repair facility. This is a factory repair.

Please provide a positive Rating so that I may be credited for my efforts.
If I can be of further assistance, please ask rather than leave a negative response.

Thank You
