My Kodak Easy Share DX6490 doesn't always want to turn

Customer Question

My Kodak Easy Share DX6490 doesn't always want to turn on or to transfer photos to my computer. What to do?

Hi there Rhonda,

This sounds like two different problems:

1. A worn out power button

2. A worn out USB connection (or a faulty USB cable)

1. You can try pressing the power button more firmly, or press it on one side to help it make contact. It will need to be repaired or replaced to fix this problem in the long term.

2. Try using a different USB cable first. If it still won't transfer photos to the computer then the USB connector on the camera is likely worn and will need to be replaced.

A local electronics or camera repair shop can carry out both these repairs for you.
