I just order a replacement battery Kodak dx6400 easy share

Customer Question

i just order a replacement battery for my Kodak dx6400 easy share camera. I have been charging it for 2.5 hrs. Dock is still showing only 1/3 charging of the green light. The battery I orders is the same as the one I removed from my camera. It is Lenmar DMKA2. Should I let it charge overnight?

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, yes as it is automatically switched off when fully charged.

More importantly, Lenmar prescribes that "...Typically, you will need to recharge them at least 3 times to reach peak performance..." as may be viewed HERE.

My battery for my Kodak camera still shows not fully charged even after 8 hours on the Kodak dock. How can I charge it 3x like Lenmar says?

Bear with us, keep charging for an extended period of time (first time); even 16 hours. This would serve as both an attempt of a fix and as a test.

If still "...shows not fully charged...", then either the battery even if new has faulted or the charger may have an issue.
