Hi, I am Tech Michael and will be assisting you today. I am a Master Technician that's dedicated to giving you the best Answer possible.

If you are new to the site, this is briefly how it works:

1. We may need some back and forth to exchange information (if needed) and there is no extra cost for replying.

2. I will give you the best possible Answer for your problem without the ability of actually being present with you.

The better you describe the problem, the quicker I can help ;-)

3. Remember to leave a Positive Rating after we're finished. it doesn't cost anything additional to rate kindly;-)

I am only compensated for my time and expertise if you rate kindly.

Just to be sure this is a Fuji camera?

I can help you replace that door.

But you will need to partially open the camera to do this. Please don't just jump ahead of me on this one as it can go wrong easily!

I will advise each step of the way t prevent a potential problem.

First thing, get a new battery door;-)

Please contact Fuji parts: 1-***-***-****.

If for any reason they don't have that part let me know I have other good sources as well;-)

In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.

Please rate kindly thus far, it won't cost you anything to rate my service to you kindly,

Then you can reach me by simply replying to this message anytime.

Thank you and have a nice Saturday!

Pretty good, I have a fair amount of tools. If I don't have what we need, my father will have it!

Cool what is your name?

What you want to do in a clean area with a lot of good lighting, and glasses in MY CASE lol, remove the screws and slightly lift the back off the front but not all the way!!!

Just enough to slip the door into place then its done. But please use caution, you can replace this part without disrupting anything is you use caution and do just that;-)

Its good to use a small flat edge piece of plastic preferably to pry the case open once the screws are out.

Please rate kindly so I can stick with you, no cost to you for that .

Which screws do I loosen?
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi they may be covered so look well, also check inside the battery box, then you need to pry at the plastic clips the site I use is down for the weekend for updates.

abut I will check to see if there is diagram for doing this as well.

I will contact you Monday with that info, sorry for the inconvenience.

Tech Michael

Please rate kindly so I can stick with you that long.

Tech Michael PS no cost to rate;-)

I need to know where all of the screws are. You had stated that you were going to get a diagram from a site you use to see where all the screws were on Monday...
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi I am still waiting for another site but this video may hel this is all they sent so far but its for a different model they say it should work as a fix for this one as well?

Try it and let me know how that went.

This may give you an idea how to look for the fasteners that hold the unit together. But if you feel you aren't handy enough to figure that part out it might be best to have someone help who is really good at these things. lol.

I am still working on this for you please have patience unless that video helps.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, in that video, the latch on the camera broke off. On mine, one of the tabs on the cover broke off. I have the replacement cover, I just need to get the camera apart to insert the new cover. If I open the camera, will I damage any of the internal parts by exposing them to light? Is that why you said to only open it far enough to get the old door off?
Expert:  Michael replied 1 year ago.

Hi no you wont damage anything by opening this camera, you just need to be careful, just open it far enough to replace the door .

I have not seen any diagram or video yet for this but I am checking everything.
