Initially, have you carefully checked that all the pins of the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter are present and aligned correctly ? These pins have a peculiar arrangement as may be viewed HERE.

The above would be the only easiest user attempt as all others would be internal to the dongle.

How on earth would you "see" the pins?'s the same device I've been using all along, for the past three months, since I bought the camera.....then I purchased a new 1Wu-a device and it does the very same thing. Is there some setting on the camera that needs to be made.....the device just blinks and my phone tells me that it is "not connected to the camera!"

Why would I want to spend $18.00 on the phone with you, you haven't answered anything so far from the original question?I'm still asking what is going on with the D7100 camera the device that hooks up to camera to download to my phone is not working.....the page you sent me to tells nothing about any camera settings that might be wrong or need to be re-installed.....I told you originally that the camera has been in constant use for three months, since I bought it new.....and was working fine, but suddenly now will not connect to the phone. If you don't know, please provide me with a customer service number to Nikon!
