What is the difference between the sensor in the T6s vs 5D

Customer Question

What is the difference between the sensor in the T6s vs 5D MKIII besides pixel count. I am using f/2.8 lenses at 70-200mm /w 2xIII and the 24-70mm between both camers. The T6s does not seem to have the clarity that the 5D has.

The two cameras are fundamentally different. The T6 is a crop frame consumer model and the 5D Mk III is a full frame pro camera. In the 5D, the sensor is physically larger by about 50% and therefore noise is reduced and sensitivity is increased.

I would expect better images out of the 5D every time.
