Customer Question

While trying to re-install my nikon install disc I get to a point where the Icon "Installing ArcSoft Software Suite" appears on the screen and won't go away. It doesn't seem that the disc is installing at all.

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

It may be that the software you are trying to install isn't compatible with Windows 10.

But you can set Compatibility Mode on the install file, for a previous version of Windows, e.g. Windows 7, provided your ArcSoft Software install file is NOT on a CD - where it cannot have Compatibility Mode set.

And there is also possible: that your software is trying to contact an Internet server, and you are not connected to the Internet during the installation ?

If you are installing from a CD or DVD disc, getting an alternate version by download from a reliable source i.e. an OEM site, would allow you to set Compatibility Mode on it if you Save the downloaded install file rather than Run-ning it.

Since the ArcSoft software is presumably Nikon-camera-related, possibly Nikon's site has the software for free download. Please tell me whether you are trying to install from a CD/DVD disc, and whether that disc is a Nikon-branded disc, and I will advise you further as appropriate.
